Yankee Paintball LLC SAFETY RULES
These rules are for the safety and enjoyment of all of our
players. Take the time to read and understand them before you come to play. We
will gladly discuss and explain any questions you may have. Minor
violations will be treated to either a discussion of the rule with the field
manager at the stand while your team plays with out you or a hole punch on the
wristband. Three (3) punches in one playing day will result in the loss of
playing privileges for the remainder of the day with out refund. The
decisions of the refs are final and will be fully backed by
management.
1. Goggles: This is the most important rule. You should have your goggles on at
any time there is a game going on or you see anyone with their barrel covers
off. You must also wear your goggles at the chrono table. The referee’s will
tell you when it is safe to take your goggles off when a game is over. DO NOT
lift or take your goggles off during a game. If this happens the game
will be stopped immediately and the entire group will have to sit down and
listen to the safety speech again and you will receive two punches on your
wristband. Do it again and you are done playing for the day. Cleaning supplies
for goggles are provided at the staging area.
2. Barrel
covers: These should be on your marker at all times. Only exceptions
are when you are on the shooting range/chrono station with your goggles on or you are
instructed by a referee to take it off to play. When you are eliminated from a
game the first thing you should do is put your barrel cover on.
You must use a cover barrel plugs are not acceptable means of blocking your
barrel. **Barrel Covers will be available at the staging area for a minimal fee**
3. Overshooting: Do not shoot someone more than three times.
4. Cheating: Cheating takes away the fun for
everyone and will not be tolerated. After being warned, the decision to give a
wristband punch is a the discretion of the ref. Repeated cheating will result in
the loss of playing privileges with out refund.
5. Blind Firing: You must be looking at what you are shooting at.
Do not stick your gun around the corner of an obstacle and start shooting.
6. Sportsmanship: We encourage good sportsmanship at Yankee Paintball. The taunting of individuals or teams is not allowed. Also there are players of all ages so please refrain from swearing.
7. ARGUING/PHYSICAL CONTACT: This will not be tolerated. Do not argue with
other players, the referee’s or in any way try to instigate a fight.
Absolutely no physical contact of any kind. YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE FIELD
IMMEDIATELY AND THE AUTHORITIES CONTACTED! Aggressive play is ok, aggressive
behavior is not.
8. ELIMINATED PLAYERS: Out Players do not talk. You cannot help your team once you have
been eliminated. Do not make gestures to give away an opponents position.
9. PAINT: No off field paint allowed. We have different
qualities of paint to better meet our customers needs.
10. WRISTBANDS:
If you do not have a wristband you will be escorted to the staging area where you will have to purchase one or you will be asked to leave.
11. BUNKERS: There is no moving of any field obstacles or altering of
bunkers during the game.
12. CHRONO SPEED: 280 fps. You must chrono any non-rental guns at
the chrono station before playing.
13.
Do not remove CO2 tanks from rental
guns. Ask a referee if you need
more Co2. The ref or shop tech will put a new one on for you. Anyone with their own equipment,
please be careful when unscrewing Co2 or Compressed Air tanks. Check to make
sure the tank is unscrewing from the gun and not the tank head.
14. ELIMINATION: You are out when you are hit by a paintball and it breaks on you
or your equipment (gun, mask, pods, etc…) Be sure to check and see if the
paintball broke. Sometimes they bounce. If you can’t( see it ask someone next
to you or yell for paintcheck and a ref will come assist you. If you yell hit or
out, you are out whether it broke or not, so be sure to check first. If a
paintball breaks on something in front of you and just splatters on you, you are
not out. It must hit you or your equipment and break on you.
15. Eliminated Player:
When you are eliminated you want to yell either hit or out. Put
your hand in the air and wait a second before you show yourself. This gives your
opponents time to see that you are out. Once you’ve established that you are
out, immediately put your barrel cover on and walk to the designated dead zone.
KEEP YOUR GOGGLES ON! If you can not see, ask for ref to assist you. DO NOT
shoot people with their barrel covers on! Cleaning supplies are provided at the
staging area.
16. Surrender Rule: If you come up behind someone within 15 feet and say
“surrender,” then that person is eliminated. They do not have a choice (this
helps to eliminate the back and neck shots). If you run up from the front or the side
and yell “surrender” it is up to the person you are asking if they want to
or not, they do not have to surrender in that situation. It only applies when
the person doesn’t know you are there and you are behind them.
17. MARKERS: Be sure to keep your marker upright when you are shooting. They do
not feed sideways or upside down. If you pull the trigger and nothing happens
check the bolt on the side, make sure it is pulled back. If that is not it,
check and make sure the safety is in the fire position. If that doesn’t work,
call for a ref.
18. Paintchecks/problems.
If you need a paint check or have a gun problem or anything that requires a
ref, yell referee or your referee’s name. They will come to you. If you get
up and walk to them they will help you but you will be out for the game.
19. SEMI-AUTO MODE ONLY! No Full Auto,
Turbos, Ramps, or Multi-round bursts
allowed. One shot per trigger pull only.
20. Wearing orange. No players are allowed to wear Orange. Orange is our referee jersey color. Hints of orange are ok but it cannot be the main color of a shirt or pants.
21. Alcoholic Beverages. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises any time the field is open for play. We reserve the right to refuse service to customers who appear or act intoxicated or under the influence of illicit drugs.
