I started playing paintball in 1986.  I was invited to play with a group of friends…man, those were the days!  We played with Nelson 007’s, paint was $1.00 for a tube of 10, and you changed your C02 cartridge every 20 shots.  I was hooked.  I had such a great time, I started organizing groups and we would go out and try different fields.  At times there were as many as 60 people in the group, and every one was having a ball.  I decided to start a field myself.  The search led me to the Schreiber’s farm.  It has taken us many years to get the town’s approval to let us start our field.  Now my dream will become a reality; giving people a great experience playing a great sport.  Welcome to Yankee paintball.

I started playing paintball in 1985 with some friends in the woods. Through out high school and college I played as frequently as a limited budget would allow. I progressed through various pump guns to semi autos, though I still frequently use a pump ( I prefer my WGP Sniper 1).  I stopped playing paintball after college for a few reasons; the biggest being the amount of cheating going on at the fields I played at.  It  made it absolutely no fun.  Wiping was rampant, I hated paying good money only to have some one cheat and ruin the game.  I stopped playing until November 2005 when I played a pump only day at a local field.  It reminded me of why I used to play:  It was fun!  I was also shocked about how much the game had changed since I left.  Paint was affordable, markers put more paint down field in 10 seconds then I used to use in a day, the players were a lot younger,  I never heard of a marker that needed batteries before.

My goals in starting Yankee Paintball are many. I want paintball to be fun and honorable, I really enjoy playing in the woods, and I want to help preserve our family farm by having some of the land bring in enough income to relieve the tax burden. If I get to play in the woods with some really cool people and introduce others to the style I enjoy most, then life is good.
