Yankee Paintball 3-man Event Rules

Welcome to Yankee Paintball’s 4th annual Pumpkin Run. The tournament rules are as followed:

A: Safety is first for most important.

            1. All markers must  chrono at 280fps coming on and off the field.

                a. Chronoing coming off the field is at ref’s discretion if they feel the marker may have been shooting hot.

                b. If a player is shooting hot coming off the field there will be the amount over the limit (280fps) deducted from the teams points, up to 20pts.

            2. Marker safety is very important.

                a. There is no dry firing in the safe zone, if caught firing in the safe zone the offending team will be fined 10pts.

                b. Barrel covers must be on markers anytime a team is not on the field ready to play or just finishing a game. No point penalties for this violation unless in it becomes a  recurring problem. Just please remember your covers.

                c. Barrel Plugs are not allowed. We have covers at a very reasonable price if you do not have one.

            3. Mask must be worn properly whenever on the field or entering the field. Don’t lift them; Don’t ever remove your mask on the field. 25pts penalty will be issued to the offending team, No warnings will be given. Everyone here plays paintball seriously and should take safety just as serious.

B: Rules and Regulations.

            1. Markers and Modes.

     a. Semi-uncapped is the only firing mode allowed, any others must be changed before the marker may be use in the event.

                 b. If caught with an illegal marker, any kills from that player from the previous match will not count and the out come will be reversed. If the firing mode can’t be changed, the marker can’t be used.

                 c. Bouncing markers- a marker that fires itself with kick alone must be adjusted so it no longer bounces.

            2. Teams and Rosters

                 a. A team may have 4 players on their roster; anyone not on that roster can not play with that team. If a team is caught playing with a player not on the roster that game will be forfeited.

                 b. No player may be on two team’s roster, and may not play in more than one division.

            3. Clothing and Gear.

                 a. On the field you may not be more then 5 feet away from any piece of gear you came on to the field with, except pods. (Don’t throw your hopper because it doesn’t work, don’t ditch your pod pack because it’s empty; stuff like that).

                 b. Layers of clothing; 1x T-shirt, 1x long sleeve shirt and a jersey. No hoodies or sweat shirts allowed. No more 3 layers allowed.

                 c. Jerseys draped over front of pack is allowed, over the back is not and must be tucked in.

            4. Cheating.

                 a. Cheating will not be tolerated, if you plan on cheating, plan on leaving.

                 b. Playing on- playing with an obvious hit. Player will be pulled immediately along with the closest player to the flag. 2 for 1.

                 c. Wiping- wiping a hit off yourself. Player will be pulled immediately along with the closest player to the flag. 2 for 1.

                 d. Coaching from the side lines or dead box is also cheating, sorry this isn’t PSP or X-Ball. No Coaching! (No run, Grab the flag or things of that sort) If there was coaching involved in any plays, plays after that point don’t count the game is dead where it was before anything was said. Kills and flag pulls, no hang.

                 e. If a player is caught with an unobvious hit and he is the one who hung the flag the hang doesn’t count, points are just awarded as is plus 10 for the dirty hang player.

         5. What defines an elimination.

                 a. A player with a hit, not bunker rub which will look like a streak and smear is not an elimination. The player needs to have some shell and paint on themselves or any equipment. Ref’s best judgment is used.

                 b. In a 1 for 1 trade off situation; the player who got shot off first needs to leave the field and report to the dead box, the player who got shot from the player they shot may stay on the field as alive, the shots don’t count. If the eliminations were at the same time both walk off to the dead box.

                 c. Once a player has been called out or paint broke on him from a shot they must report to the dead box ASAP. Dead Men Don’t Talk.

            6. Boundaries- all players must remain in-bound during the game, if a player steps out for any reason he is out and counted as dead.

                 a. If a player steps out to shoot another player only the player to step out is out, the hit player is in still. (It took an illegal move to shoot him out, no elimination)

            7. Points and Scoring.

                 a. Each elimination is 10pts. First flag pull is 30pts. Flag Hang is 40pts. A perfect game is 100pts per match.

                 b. After a match each team must look over scoring and sign the score sheet and hand it in the score keeper.

                 c. If there’s any issues with the scoring you may bring it to the head refs attention after the match, do not start an argument with the refs during game play it will not help your case. Keep in mind they are only people just doing their job to the best of their abilities.
